The University of Santiago de Compostela, with more than five hundred years of existence, is an institution that puts its knowledge and leadership in the academic, researcher, technological and management to the service of the society to whom it owes.
It has two campus seated in two major cities of Galicia: Santiago de Compostela and Lugo. Its academic offer includes 63 official academic degrees and 3 own degrees. It also offers a wide variety of masters and doctoral programs, for which a good part have been distinguished with the mention of excellence from the Ministry of Education. Its research and technological offer is distributed between different centres, departments and research groups set up for this purpose.
Approximately 30,000 students enrolled each year, more than 60% are women. The teaching staff is composed of more than 2,000 professors and teachers of which 45% are women. Administration and services staff is formed by some 1,200 people of whom around 55% are women.
